A girl, a style: in the apartment of designer Julia Toledano in Paris
She has made the sculpted heel her signature with her brand Nodaleto, an anagram of her last name, which she
pilots alongside Olivier Leone. At only 28 years old, Julia Toledano has made her mark on the fashion scene,
elevating her creations to the rank of ultimate objects of desire. A guided tour of her Parisian cocoon where
French chic meets Californian cool.
Julia Toledano welcomes us with gentleness, humor and kindness in her Parisian apartment, where space age influences,
art deco furniture and multiple nods to her label, Nodaleto, launched 3 years ago, are mixed. Meeting.

At only 28 years old, Julia Toledano runs her label, Nodaleto, co-founded with Olivier Leone, with a masterful
hand. A monomania for shoes that led to the creation of this it brand with ultra-recognizable lines 3 years ago
and that has, in a very short time, conquered the fashion planet. nissenandy

An obvious choice, even if she did not start her studies in the field “Fashion was a passion. I knew I wanted
to create a shoe brand but I didn’t have the vision and maturity to launch it. I had to be ready to face it and
reveal myself. After studying law, then journalism and several internships more or less related to fashion, Julia
perfected her skills at the London College of Fashion, following the Shoe design and shoe making course. “I have
always designed shoes, it was an obsession. That same year I spent a lot of time in Italy to understand the ways
and the making.”
Spontaneous “I’m not very sophisticated but I love beautiful pieces, jackets and coats”. Julia collects coats
and jackets and likes to play the clash of styles “I like to wear my Bar jacket with baggy jeans”. Boys’ Preschool Summit White/Fire Red/Tech Grey/Black Dior jacket, Courrèges turtleneck, Agolde jeans, Nodaleto shoes, Tiffany & Co earrings and ring.
“Professional or personal, as soon as there are ideas, there are projects”. Newly married, Julia is now focused
on the expansion and growth of Nodaleto, with lots of lovely projects planned for this summer as well as upcoming
collaborations and the development of new concepts. fantasticrewiewsneakers Christopher Esber top, Jil Sander pants, Nodaleto shoes
Warm and friendly, just like her. In this cocoon, Julia has brought together everything that inspires her on
a daily basis, between very space age minimalism and Californian coolness. But it is above all a place to live,
where she likes to entertain “This apartment was a project in parallel with the creation of Nodaleto (launched
the same year), and I wanted it to be the place where my friends and family like to meet in the evening for
a drink or on Sundays in front of a movie”. A Friends fan, Julia says she initially moved in with her best friend
Carla, “I wanted to have the Monica and Rachel experience. One confinement to four -with their respective fiancés-
later, Julia lives there now as a couple and distils personal and family objects in the four corners of this
apartment “It was very important to feel the energies, I am very sensitive to it. Even before starting the work,
I fell in love with this space, with its light”. Nike Air Max 98 – Men’s Court Purple/Terra Blush/Spirit Teal Vintage Christian Dior by John Galliano top, Agolde jeans, Nodaleto x Heaven by Marc Jacobs shoes, Tiffany & Co.
A clever mix imagined alongside architect Isadora Viquel “We each fed off our respective tastes. Intimate and
generous, her interior is composed of mid-century design pieces, space age and art deco accents” I am a bit compulsive
in my furniture purchases. When I fall in love with a piece, I become obsessed with it, but I never get tired
of it,” confides Julia. At the top of her furniture list? A Bellini armchair, Tobia Scarpa armchairs, a Living
Divani sofa, Carlo Nason 1970 sconces, as well as dressers by Galerie Glustin at the Saint-Ouen flea market. https://urlscan.io/result/ba248cf0-4562-4277-b7de-d7cab781ec9d/ Celine leather coat by Phoebe Philo, Christopher Esber top, Jil Sander pants, Nodaleto shoes
First fashion souvenir
A pair of Dior thigh-high boots by John Galliano in leather with laces and coil heel in Cognac that I had fun
trying on. Size 40, of course. Being a size 37, I unfortunately never got to wear them.
A pair of Bulla Babies
a pair of boyfriend jeans (but I like all cuts)
A vintage leather trench coat, in any color.
Zara T-shirt, Loewe pants, Nodaleto shoes, Serpenti necklace by Bulgari
Mr. Azzedine Alaïa, “because he knows how to make the woman sublime, confident and timeless”.
“My Bar jacket by Maria Grazia Chiuri and my vintage leather trench by Alaïa”.
Chanel shirt, Zara tank top, Celine pants by Phoebe Philo, Nodaleto shoes, Tiffany & Co earrings and ring.
Old or new, they all hold a special meaning “Obviously my engagement ring, my orange Cartier amulet necklace
given to me by my fiancé the first year of Nodaleto, my sister-in-law’s MysteryJoy creations, my Jacquie Aiche
necklaces or even my father’s vintage Audemars Piguet watch.”
Vintage Christian Dior top by John Galliano, Agolde jeans, Nodaleto x Heaven by Marc Jacobs shoes, Tiffany
& Co. bracelet.
An obsession, a bit more reasonable than the one she cultivates for shoes. “I like to collect collector’s bags,
I always try to have a bag with a particular creation or a vintage nugget”. Her fetishes? Her mother’s Saddle
Dior bags, a model from the collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Cindy Sherman or the Baguette bags from
Fendi… “My obsessions change from month to month… Often I keep the same bag for days and then I put back
the one from the previous period”, confides Julia. Currently, she favors a Celine bag.

This is a real question for the founder of the shoe brand Nodaleto! “Obviously, most of the time I wear Nodaleto
pairs, even every day for the past 3 years. By day, a pair of boots, with a preference for Bulla Gine or Bulla
Corta. At nightfall, more extravagant pairs like the Bulla Marietta Black Velvet or the Bulla Jones Red Corvette.
Sequined dress Loewe, shoes Nodaleto
A monomania: corsets or bustiers “I feel confident and sexy, winter or summer, worn with a skirt, pants,
shirt or sweater”.
A vintage Gianfranco Ferré lingerie bustier.
Dior jacket, Courrèges turtleneck, Agolde jeans, Nodaleto shoes, Tiffany & Co earrings and ring.
Simple and effective “First, I use Mario Badescu cleanser, then I apply a day cream SPF50 and the before
make-up gel from Milk”. For body care, Julia recommends Wumi intimate gel, a pretty brand recently launched
by Naj Harfouch, as well as the use of a dry brush to activate the circulation. Her favorite address? The
Scarlab institute where she has a treatment once a month as well as the infrared sauna at Sweatlab.
