Kim Jones signed a summer wardrobe with country accents.

It was the most expected show of this fourth day of Fashion Week. Direction the Val de GrĂ¢ce, in the fifth

arrondissement of the capital, where Kim Jones unveiled his spring-summer 2023 collection for Dior. If he

continued to pay tribute to the heritage and expertise initiated by Mr. Christian Dior, the designer has imagined

his wardrobe in the continuity of last season’s show, which celebrated the seventy-five years of the house.

Between Christian Dior and Duncan Grant

“For Christian Dior and Duncan Grant, their home, garden and personal environment were essential to their creativity.

It was these meaningful and private spheres that were translated into their work and became public,” says Kim Jones.

This season, there is no collaboration per se, but rather a tribute to one man: the painter Duncan Grant. Kim Jones

conceived the collection as a journey between time and space, from Paris to the French countryside, specifically

Granville, Christian Dior’s hometown, via Sussex, to Charleston, the Scottish artist’s home. This dialogue is already

felt as soon as the doors of the cube housing the fashion show crossed, where a huge garden populated by hundreds

of flowers of a thousand colors serves as a podium for the models. jerseycheapforsale Dior spring-summer 2023

A bucolic fashion show

“In this collection, we mix functional, natural elements (dedicated to gardening, in particular), with stylized,

luxurious facets of the New Look, and the artworks of Duncan Grant”. To create her collection for Dior, Kim Jones

had the opportunity to delve into nearly 10,000 archival pieces. Like the setting, the show featured pieces with

bucolic charm, punctuated by natural colors ranging from pastel shades, blue and green, to pale pink, symbolic

of gardening, walking and fishing. tiotracadti1985 Dior spring-summer 2023

Like last season, the designer plays on formal/informal codes, including double-breasted coats paired with shorts

and walking shoes. We also find the Bar suit jacket, allied to a cyclist’s shorts or a hiking backpack, but also

a kind of ultra-desirable apron placed casually on the tops, while Duncan Grant’s work, created in 1913 and entitled

Lilypond Screen, embellishes technical fabrics. Jordan Flight 45 Girls Dior spring-summer 2023

On the accessories side, Dior workshops worked hand in hand with the outdoor brand Mystery Ranch to design new Saddle,

fanny packs and functional backpacks. What we particularly liked? The Pergola gardening hats designed by Stephen

Jones, layered over baseball caps. Once again, Kim Jones knows how to stir up envy. Women’s Black/University Red/Print Dior spring-summer 2023
