Lizzo launches its body-positive clothing line
Lizzo has been advocating body-positivity for a long time. Today, this value takes the form of a shapewear line
designed for all.
Lizzo is one of the brightest pop sensations of recent years. She released her first album in 2022, but it was the
release of her third, Cuz I Love You, in 2022, that propelled the now Grammy-winning owner into the superstar sphere.
So she never disappoints, between her string of hit singles and her ever-viral performances with her flute, whether
on stage or on the red carpet at this year’s Met Gala. But it’s the way Lizzo celebrates her identity as a black
woman, via lyrics advocating female empowerment, body positivity and self-love, that really sets her apart. Now,
the woman of many abilities has partnered with Fabletics to create a skintight clothing line, Yitty, designed for
all body types, with sizes ranging from 6X to XS.
“It’s been in the works for a few years, so it’s great to get it out,” Lizzo tells Vogue excitedly, though she stayed
up late the night before to shoot a video. “I wanted the music to be in the DNA of everything, so the pieces embody
my stage persona and my live shows.” So it makes sense that the collection is called Headliner. “Am I going to be
wearing tight clothes? Am I going to be headlining a world tour? Well, you can do both, baby.”

- Elegant, stylish, practical and comfortable
From bralettes to high-waisted leggings, bodysuits and shorts, the collection features elegant silhouettes in shiny
microfiber fabrics that hug and flatter the curves of the body. In addition to all this, the garments have hidden
features, such as flexible underwires and silicone inserts, which not only support movement, but also guarantee extreme
comfort. Lizzo’s favorite piece? “I haven’t stopped wearing the bandeau, I love it” says the artist. “I’m in love
with its shape and the way it holds everything in place, and I’m a fan of our neon pink leopard print.” 19Liverpool Away White Soccer Jersey Yitty by Lizzo.

Named after her childhood nickname, Yitty means a lot to Lizzo. “It’s sacred to me because when I moved away from Detroit,
that name made me feel connected to my family, specifically my aunt, who passed away a few years ago,” the artist explains.
“She’s one of my favorite people in the world, out of all the other strong women who impacted my life growing up, and
I wanted to pay tribute to her.” vixipisa Yitty by Lizzo.

What’s next for Yitty? “We had to establish ourselves in the shapewear category first:
, I mean, we have the best bra ever:
, go get it bitch,” laughs Lizzo. “But because I work 10 times harder than I should, I have more coming
that will blow your mind.” It’s about time.
