Stop everything! Meghan Markle makes her return to London for the Queen’s Jubilee

On the arm of Prince Harry at the Platinum Jubilee festivities, Meghan Markle was understated, sure, but undeniably

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are back in town. On the morning of June 3, 2022, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex

arrived at St. James Cathedral in London to attend the National Thanksgiving Service. This is the first time

the couple has made a public appearance in the UK since taking a “step back” from their royal duties in 2020.

Meghan Markle wore a belted white coat by Dior with a matching hat, while Prince Harry wore a classic suit, adorned

with medals from his military service. After chatting with service members on the steps of the historic cathedral,

they took their seats inside, in the second row, next to Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice.

Numerous personalities

The mass was celebrated in honor of the 70th anniversary of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. Who were also present?

Other members of the royal family, such as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as members of the government

such as Prime Minister Boris Johnson and former British leaders Theresa May and Tony Blair.

The day before, they watched the parade of the flag from the Major General’s office. Cameras caught the

couple chatting with the children of Zara Tindall, Prince Harry’s cousin. Meghan Markle then wore a low-cut

navy dress by Roland Mouret and a matching hat designed by Stephen Jones.

The watchword for Meghan Markle? Discretion

Despite their high-profile status, the couple has so far remained relatively discreet during the Queen’s

Jubilee festivities. This is the first time they have been seen in London since their arrival earlier

this week, so it can be inferred that they are voluntarily staying in the background to make room for

the Queen during the weekend dedicated to her. Unfortunately, the monarch has withdrawn from the ceremony

at the last minute due to mobility problems. She is expected to follow the rest of the festivities from

her residence at Windsor Castle.
