Vetements : when the Tati checked bag becomes a trench coat
Vetements has struck again: this time, the house presented its collection in the former Tati store in Barbès.
Direction the 18th arrondissement of Paris, in the district of Barbès, where the Vetements collective, led
by Guram Gvasalia, chose to unveil the silhouettes of its spring-summer 2023 collection. Always on the agenda:

Vetements shows at Tati
After McDonald’s and a disused Monoprix for VTMNTS, Vetements invests this time the former Tati store located in
Barbès, which closed its doors permanently following the containment related to the pandemic. Whether Demna (who
left the collective in 2022 to work full time at Balenciaga) or Guram, the Gvasalia brothers like to play with
codes and everyday objects to revisit them and transform them into pure luxury products.
At the last Vetements fashion show, we saw several sets of checks, a nod to the iconic shopping bags created in 1962
by a certain Jules Ouaki, founder of the discount brand.
