Backstage of the Hermès men’s spring-summer 2023 show
For Hermès, Véronique Nichanian unveiled her new men’s wardrobe.
Direction the Manufacture des Gobelins, where the models walked a paved runway that unintentionally echoed the central
motif of the collection. A print that, according to Véronique Nichanian, reflected the tiles at the bottom of a
pool when viewed through a distorting prism of water.
After 33 years at the head of Hermès men’s lines, the designer is still at it, and this season offers us a summer
wardrobe punctuated by deconstructed jackets associated with school-boy shorts, neoprene sandals, ultra-colored
technical parkas, and Birkin bags sublimated with distorted checks. We love the seahorse shirt and the lilac knit
sweater. A few hours before the show, Vogue went backstage.
