The collab of the day: Ancient Greek Sandals x lemlem, designed by Liya Kebede

It all started with a meeting in Greece on the island of Paxos. A meeting between Christina Martini, the creator

of Ancient Greeks Sandals and Liya Kebede, the top who imagined lemlem, an artisanal ready-to-wear line: . The result is a capsule collection of sandals that pays tribute to their respective countries.

This season, Ancient Greek Sandals and lemlem have teamed up for a capsule collection of leather sandals, made on

the island of Corfu in Greece, with materials handwoven in Ethiopia or Kenya by Maasai women. Each pair from the

collaboration, which sounds like an obvious choice since Christina Martini and Liya Kebede have been wearing each

other’s creations for years:, highlights the deep heritage of Greece and Ethiopia, the designers’ countries of origin. For the occasion, the

capsule collection is installed at Le Bon Marché, alongside the 2022 Ancient Greek Sandals


, in a pop-up in the color of Greece where the white plaster walls awakened by blue pigments host here and

there carts with traditional motifs and watermelon-shaped stools. A journey between the Greek islands and Africa

to discover on the Left Bank, in the heart of Le Bon Marché.
