Today we know that Daniel Lee was actually preparing a “digital newspaper” featuring interactive photography,

film and sound. This online magazine will be released quarterly to coincide with the launch of the new collections

in the boutiques. A decision taken by Daniel Lee that will allow the brand to ensure an online presence while

focusing on innovation. The British designer has, in fact, confided to the newspaper The Guardian, to propose

a virtual offer “more progressive and more thoughtful”: “Social media represent the homogenization of culture,”

he said.

This move is part of a desire to stand out. Already last fall, Bottega Veneta was not included in the Paris

Fashion Week calendar. Instead, the label organized an exclusive preview of its spring-summer 2021 collection

for a very limited audience and hand-picked guests: the editor of Vogue UK, Edward Enninful, Salma Hayek, Neneh

Cherry, Kanye West and Skepta were given an appointment at Salon 1. The rest of the world had to wait until

early December to see the images of the presentation.

The content of the magazine is intended as a chic and eclectic mix: in this first issue, Missy Elliott

is the star of a clip directed by Derek Blanks revisiting her 1999 hit song, Hot Boyz, Tyler Mitchell reinterprets

the famous woven mules of the brand, Alex Paganelli, known as Dead Hungry imagines a “jelly” version of

the Tyre boots and the Point bag. Finally, Oumi Janta, the Berlin roller skater with a dazzling success

on Instagram, appears twirling on a dance floor in Bottega Veneta dresses with a disco look.  https://musescore.com/user/48678162 Mariacarla Boscono for Bottega Veneta Issue
