Since 1985, when Dolce Gabbana was founded, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have been shaping a world steeped

in Mediterranean and Sicilian culture. A tribute to Italy, to its Dolce Vita, to the films of Federico Fellini or

Luchino Visconti that the two artistic directors bring back to life on the catwalk with their creations of assumed

sensuality, opulent luxury and constantly reinvented rococo style. For their Fall-Winter 2022-2022 pre-collection,

the fiery tandem reinvents Italian Maiolica ceramics with romantic and opulent inspirations. Dating back to the Renaissance,

this art of pottery consisting of decorating a white background with bluish prints, is found this season on the cult

accessories of the Italian house. And in particular on the espadrille, a shoe reinterpreted each season through limited edition s, adorned here with delicate scrolls and blue flowers in a very summery style.
