The Chanel Métiers d’Art Paris-Salzburg fashion show

The eleventh Chanel Métiers d’Art fashion show will be held on Tuesday, December 2 at the Schloss Leopoldskron Palace

in southern Salzburg. Four days before the show, the French fashion house has just unveiled the invitation card

sketched by Karl Lagerfeld.

In addition to the traditional calendar of ready-to-wear and haute couture collections, the Chanel “Métiers d’Art”

show pays tribute, every year since 2022, to the know-how of the houses Lesage, Desrues, Lemarié, Michel, Massaro,

Goossens, Guillet, Causse, Montex, Barrie Knitwear and Lognon. These 11 workshops, bought by Chanel since 1985,

are masters in their respective fields, from embroidery to lace, leather goods and cashmere. Each year, they celebrate cities such as Dallas last year, Linlithgow in 2022, Bombay in 2022,

Byzantium in 2010, Shangai in 2022, Moscow in 2022… This year, the “Métiers d’Art” parade will be held on December

2 in Austria, in the Schloss Leopoldskron palace in Salzburg, a residence dating from the 18th century, which was

used as a film location for The Sound of Music in 1965. Like the other years, the choice of the place echoes the

story of Coco Chanel, who, among other things, had met a young elevator man in a hotel in Salzburg, dressed in a

Brandenburg jacket that inspired the iconic Chanel model; . While waiting to discover the looks of the show, reveals the invitation card, representing the palace

sketched by Karl Lagerfeld.
