Shahi Tukda, as the name suggests, quite literally means ‘royal bite’ or ‘royal piece’. With little pieces of bread soaked in condensed milk and topped with delicious dry fruits, Shahi Tukda is a classic dessert recipe that you can never go wrong with.
Here are all the ingredients you need to make Mango Shahi Tukda:
- Condensed Milk
- Toned Milk
- Bread Slices
- Mango & Mango Puree
- Ghee/Clarified Butter
- Pistachio Slivers
Steps To Make Mango Shahi Tukda:
Step I: First thing you need to make is the rabdi. Heat the toned milk and add the condensed milk to it. Let it simmer for three to four minutes. Crumble three to four bread slices and add them to the mixture. Mix it all well and allow it to cool down. Post cooling down, add the mango puree and set it in the refrigerator.
Step II: Now, take a couple of bread slices and cut them into circles. Toast these lightly on a heated pan or a toaster and add some ghee or clarified butter. Avoid deep frying these to keep the dessert on the lighter side.
Step III: Assemble the shahi tukda. Arrange the toasted bread slices on the serving utensil. Take the rabdi out of the refrigerator and pour it into assembled toasted bread slices. Garnish with some cut mango pieces and pistachio slivers.
- Blueberry Tiramisu:
Tiramisu is quite famous and known for its light and airy texture. You can feel every bite of that Tiramisu melt in your mouth like butter. This Ramadan, you can try this very easy and simple Blueberry Tiramisu recipe made with minimal ingredients!
Here are all the ingredients you need to make Blueberry Tiramisu:
- Fresh Blueberries
- Fresh Double Cream
- Powdered Sugar
- Brown Sugar
- Cream Cheese
- Brown Sugar
- Cornstarch
- Water
- Lady Biscuits
- Mint Leaves (Optional)
Steps To Make Blueberry Tiramisu:
Step I: Start whipping double fresh cream with some powdered sugar. Whip it consistently until soft peaks start appearing.
Step II: Start whipping cream cheese in a separate bowl until it turns smooth and creamy.
Step III: Carefully mix the cream cheese and whipped cream using a spatula and ensure that they are mixed thoroughly.
Step IV: Cook blueberries and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium flame. Make sure it is cooking until they all release their juices.
Step V: Dissolve some cornstarch in water and pour it into the blueberry mixture while stirring it consistently.
Step VI: Mash the blueberries with a fork and create a slightly chunky texture. Let it simmer until it attains a slightly pudding-like consistency.
Step VII: Set it aside and let it cool.
Step VIII: Now prepare a dish that resembles a square. Fill a piping bag with the tiramisu cream you prepared earlier.
Step IX: Start by adding a layer of lady biscuits. Pipe and spread some tiramisu cream layer on top of it. Now, add a layer of blueberry sauce. Repeat with another layer of lady biscuits, tiramisu cream and blueberry sauce. Repeat this process until all the ingredients are utilised and finish off with a last layer of tiramisu cream.
Step X: Garnish with some fresh strawberries and mint leaves (optional).
- Coconut Barfi
A popular sweet that is enjoyed and celebrated by people equally. You cannot go wrong with a coconut barfi. You can tweak it and even make it into a strawberry barfi to experiment with it!
Here are the ingredients you need to make coconut barfi:
- Dessicated Coconut
- Whole Milk
- Sweetened Condensed Milk
- Cardamom Powder
- Rose Water
- Sugar
- Ghee/Clarified Butter
- Saffron
- Cashews
Step I: Warm the milk on a stove or in a microwave. Then, add the desiccated coconut to the warm milk.
Step II: Stir the mixture well, cover it, and keep it aside for an hour.
Step III: Now, grease a baking tray or a steel plate with some Ghee or clarified butter.
Step IV: Add some Ghee or clarified butter to a pan and add the coconut milk mixture to it.
Step V: Keep stirring it consistently on a low to medium flame.
Step VI: Add the condensed milk to this mixture while stirring.
Step VII: Add some sugar and cardamom powder.
Step VIII: Add rose water (optional) and keep on stirring until you see tiny droplets of ghee releasing from the side of the mixture.
Step IX: Now, pour the barfi mixture into the greased tray or thali. Sprinkle some saffron strands or saffron powder and chopped cashew on top of the mixture and let it cool and settle down.
Step X: Cut it into barfi slices and serve it!
